Tanya has over 22 years of corporate finance experience with the past 7 years focused in the power sector in emerging Africa. Tanya joined Azura in 2019 from Melec Powergen Inc., an IPP platform with 3 thermal plants under operations with a combined capacity of 270 MW and 132 MW under construction, which was acquired by Azura.

During her tenure with MPG, Tanya was responsible for and continues to manage all financial functions including coordinating project financing requirements, managing key relationships with Offtakers, Project Audit Partners, Lenders Project Portfolio managers, and statutory and Legal advisors, and administers the implementation for ERP management system across the entire platform. Tanya also played a critical role in securing the sale of the MPG assets to Azura.

She is fluent in English, Arabic and French and holds a Masters in Business Administration and also is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) holder certified by the State of New Hampshire, USA.
