Ivone Lúcia Manganhela Bambo is the current Director of the Board of Directors Office of Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) since July 2011. Ivone was appointed as Director of Ethics and Ombudsman in EDM from June 2019 to July 2020.

Before this appointment, Mrs. Ivone Bambo worked as the Deputy National Director of Electrical Energy, in the former Ministry of Energy (currently the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy – MIREME), from June 2005 to March 2011, on the bases of the Commission Services, after three years and six months’ work at the former Unidade Técnica de Implementação de Projectos Hidroeléctricos (Technical Unit for the Implementation of Hydroelectric Projects) (UTIP), currently Gabinete de Implementação de Projecto Hidroeléctrico de Mphanda Nkuwa (Mphanda Nkuwa Hydroelectric Project Implementation Office) (GMNK). There, she was accountable for the organisation and classification of the Feasibility Studies Reports of the Mphanda Nkuwa Hydropower Project and the Human Resources and Patrimony/Inventory Management.

Mrs. Ivone joined EDM in January 1996, as a Commercial Assistant, at the Commercial Directorate.She holds a degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Superior de Ciências e Tecnologias de Moçambique (Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique) (ISCTEM).From 1995 till today, she has participated in various trainings related to the Business Management, Electricity, and Energy sectors both at the national level and abroad, such as in France, USA, German, South Africa, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Korea, Portugal, Belgium, India, Tanzania, among others.
